A estatal deu in\u00edcio a estudos para avaliar o \u201cpotencial de aproveitamento das correntes marinhas oce\u00e2nicas na costa norte do Brasil, para gera\u00e7\u00e3o el\u00e9trica\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A iniciativa, que deve incluir a contrata\u00e7\u00e3o de pesquisadores da Universidade Federal do Par\u00e1 (UFPA), pretende fazer uma an\u00e1lise das tecnologias dispon\u00edveis para instala\u00e7\u00e3o dos equipamentos na regi\u00e3o. Recursos financeiros j\u00e1 foram reservados para esta etapa inicial de levantamento de dados e tecnologias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sobretudo, essas&nbsp;aplica\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o raras no mundo.
